Goldfinch Advisors was started by Jackie, one of our previous owners in December 2016 after her many years of working in larger accounting and professional firms.

After searching for inspiration and talking within the family, I realised the answer was there all the time. My paternal grandmother’s family originated from the Cardenas region of Spain. The emblem of that region is the Goldfinch which represents endurance, fruitfulness, and persistence.

In 2017, Russell joined to lead the financial & personal advisory side of the business, and in 2019 the business moved to Heidelberg.
In July 2023 Russell become the sole director of Goldfinch upon Jackie’s retirement.
Although we’re a small firm, we are big on personalised service and experience. We are currently supported by Don, our Senior Manager and Lisa our Office Manager, both of whom bring years of experience to Goldfinch. When we need specialised expertise, we reach out to other Practitioners via our Professional Associations network.
